Accessibility at Cadhay

Cadhay is a 16th-century Tudor manor house set in the East Devon countryside near Ottery St Mary. The estate offers self-catering accommodation across the main house and three cottages. Cadhay House

The main manor house sleeps up to 22 guests across 12 bedrooms. There is a ground-floor en-suite bedroom with level access from the main entrance, a 1,000mm-wide front door, and level access throughout the ground floor including the kitchen, dining room, four lounges, and the gardens. A portable ramp is available for the Court of the Sovereigns courtyard. A wheelchair is available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Coach House

The largest of the three cottages, sleeping 6. The main entrance has 2 steps with no ramp. The ground floor (lounge, kitchen/diner, and downstairs cloakroom toilet) is all level access. All three bedrooms are upstairs with 13 steps. There is an alternative entrance via French doors with a single threshold step.

The Stables

Sleeping up to 6, with a single step at the main entrance. The ground floor, including the lounge, kitchen/diner, and downstairs cloakroom toilet, is all level access. The three bedrooms are upstairs. The walled kitchen garden and patio can be reached from the car park without steps via the cobbled track.

The Cider Press

A single-storey cottage for two, with level access throughout. The entrance door is 2,030mm wide, the bedroom and shower room are both on the ground floor, and the patio is directly accessible from the kitchen or bedroom double doors. This is the most accessible of the four properties for guests with mobility requirements.
