Ideally located just outside Ottery St Mary, an attractive town set on the River Otter, Cadhay Estate is only six miles from the coast at Sidmouth, 11 miles from Exeter and just 15 miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis. This prime location makes it an excellent choice for short breaks in Devon, combining countryside tranquillity with easy access to vibrant city life and beautiful coastal destinations.

Ottery St Mary itself is a charming and welcoming town, known for its independent shops, local produce, and excellent food and drink offerings, including one of the finest wine merchants in the South West. Guests will also find a great selection of traditional pubs and restaurants nearby, perfect for relaxed dining during your stay.

Peace a tranquility guaranteed

The former Cider Press is a now converted into a very comfortable cottage with either a double or twin bedroom. It is spacious, filled with light and has a panoramic outlook to East Hill and the surrounding countryside.

We all enjoyed our short break at Stables cottage.Clean and very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We look forward to a return visit!

Excellent

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Stables was beautifully clean and had everything we could want. We particularly enjoyed sitting in front of the wood burner during the evenings. We would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Comfort break

Excellent location, lovely setting with a country house aura. Accommodation itself superb, generous facilities provided, reasonable rates. A great place for a long weekend away with friends or relatives.

A wonderful holiday

I have stayed the Stables many times and I keep coming back! It is a beautiful location in a magical setting. The gardens were absolutely beautiful full of variety and colour. To achieve this display with the drought we have experience is exceptional. The gardens must be congratulated.

Wonderful place for a relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Stables at Cadhay. The place is light and airy, and the setting is beautiful. The kitchen is well-equipped although there isn't a lot of work space, and the bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Rupert was on hand to greet us on our arrival, and was very helpful and friendly.

The Stables offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, in beautiful surroundings, at a very affordable price. Our three-generation family have recently returned from another memorable stay at Cadhay, and are already planning our next trip back. Staying at Cadhay is wonderfully relaxing and Rupert and Jayne are wonderful hosts, making you feel relaxed and welcome.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Accommodation cleanliness, beautiful gardens and the friendliness and kindness of all who work here is amazing. It is our favourite place to stay.

Spring awakening

Peace and tranquility set the scene for this beautiful location. Spring is slowly waking at Cadhays with the daffodils in abundance waving in the breeze. The Coach house is spacious yet has managed to retain the charm of being cosy. A lovely week and we had sunshine a real bonus.
